Alpine Swift is situated on the beautiful Grace Hill Farm, just outside Rhodes Village in the Southern Drakensberg. It is very close to Lesotho. Two of the highest mountain passes in South Africa, the Naude’s Neck Pass and the Carlisleshoek Pass are both on our doorstep. Altitudes reach up to 3,001m above sea level. Other passes include Tiffindell Tenahead Traverse (TTT), Volunteershoek Pass, and Ben MacDhui Pass (currently closed).

Who we are
Alpine Swift Trails was founded in 2013 by Hylton and Sunelle Dunn.
They met in interesting circumstances, detailed in Hylton’s interview with TRAIL magazine South Africa. Hylton appeared on the cover of TRAIL issue 31.
Here’s his story of healing through counselling and faith. We hope you are inspired by his journey from the grips of heroin addiction to a race-winning adventure athlete!
